Do you need a place to have your ceramics fired?
At Byaasgaard we are establishing a ceramics workshop in our beautiful old barn, and have acquired a good, large ceramics kiln.
In the long term, we will open up the use of the workshop more, but to start with, we offer to fire the ceramic creations you have made from home.

Det praktiske
– We only fire stoneware clays and glazes intended for stoneware (which can withstand firing at 1240 degrees)
– You must document what type of clay and glaze you use (send photo by email)
– Make sure that your items are completely dry when they are delivered to the workshop.
– Make sure to put your name at the bottom so that you take home your own items and not someone else's.
– When glazing, please wipe the bottom of any glaze residue and ensure that there is at least 0.5 cm of unglazed edge at the bottom.
– We only burn when we have filled a furnace - for reasons such as energy consumption and the environment.
– A ceramic firing is unpredictable and items can crack, glazes can run or the result may not be as desired in any other way. This is always a risk and therefore we cannot guarantee the result of the firing.
Your ceramics are weighed per kg. after glaze firing. The price for one kg. of fired ceramics is 165 DKK (subject to the fact that our pricing will change as we get the workshop up and running).
