The nature around Byaasgaard

(fjord, hiking, tranquility, landscape)

Vi prøver ikke at få naturen til at passe ind hos os. Vi prøver at passe ind i naturen.

Byaasgaard is located by Roskilde Fjord in northern North Zealand. Here you have views of the fjord, open fields and plenty of space around you.

You live in the middle of nature. Take a walk along the fjord, follow the paths around the farm or sit down with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view.

Nature is not an activity on the program. It is part of everyday life here – right outside the tent, cabin or camper.

Roskilde Fjord

The fjord at Byaasgaard is not a classic swimming beach – it is a living fjord landscape.

The shallow waters and salt marshes are home to a rich animal and plant life and provide a tranquility that has become rare in many other places.

Here you can walk through the shallow water, experience the birds up close and follow how the landscape changes with wind, weather and season. It's nature on nature's terms.

Hiking and short trips

The area around Byaasgaard is well suited for short hikes and longer walks at a leisurely pace. There are paths along the fjord, through open countryside and in nearby nature areas.

Near the farm runs Halsninoen, one of Halsnæs’ local hiking routes. The route moves through the characteristic ice age landscape, where Ås'en / The ridge shapes the terrain with gentle elevation differences, views of the fjord and transitions between fields, salt meadows and water. Along the way, the landscape changes naturally with the season and weather.

The trips can be a goal in themselves – or just a detour on the way after morning coffee.

Tranquility and landscape

The landscape around the farm is characterized by fields, hedgerows, small forests, hills and open spaces down to the salt meadows by the fjord. It is a landscape created by the ice age and used by people for generations – without being pressured or shaped for experience.

There aren't many impressions here, but that's precisely why many people experience a special peace. It's a place where you don't have to do anything to be a part of it.

The nature around Byaasgaard is not an attraction. It is the setting for your stay.
